    Salem Vegan Society

The Salem Vegan Society is a vegan and animal rights educational resource for Salem and surrounding communities. We provide the latest news via our SVS News page. We list North Shore and Boston-metro vegan, animal rights and environmental related events on our Events page. We select seasonal vegan recipes and nutritional information from various sources on our Recipes page. And we provide readers with monthly editorials examining the most current vegan and animal rights thoughts and trends on our SVS Viewpoint page.

    Detailed Information:
SVS is a Society Member of the International Vegetarian Union (IVU), and we actively work with other vegan and animal rights groups, such as The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), Farm Sanctuary, Compassion Over Killing (COK), and Friends of Animals (FOA). We are presently unique as a group in that we are a local vegan and animal rights educational resource, working at the community level. We strongly encourage the formation of other such local vegan and animal rights groups.
